Agenda 21: Read All About It... On The EPA Website

One can read about the history and goals of Agenda 21 right on the EPA website.  Remember when radicals such as Van Jones said that you have to "drop the radical pose for the radical ends."  Those pushing Agenda 21 know that it is easier to brainwash children and youth with fun little games and activities than it would be to change the minds of stubborn, set-in-their-ways adults.  So, where is the best place to start?

Our schools.

Well, and the Disney channel which subjects children to the "pro-social green initiative" before they can even utter their first word.

Considering the largest voting block for Obama in the election were youth between the ages of 18 - 25, it seems clear that the 1992 Agenda 21 strategy has been remarkably successful.

Education and Sustainable Development: Selected Background

Schools in many countries emphasize environmental education and ethics as they prepare students to be environmental stewards. The concept of “sustainable development” has been important in influencing this direction worldwide since the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (the Earth Summit) in Rio Janeiro. Sustainable development and environmental protection are integrally related; the “holistic” concept of sustainable development places environmental protection within a larger social context that includes economic growth and human well-being.

The World Commission on Environment and Development...defined sustainable development as 'development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.' The 1992 Earth Summit...brought global attention to the idea that the planet's environmental problems are intimately linked to economic conditions and problems of social justice. The Earth Summit also highlighted the importance of environmental education in furthering sustainable development goals. Principle 21 from the Earth Summit Declaration on Environment and Development (the Rio Declaration) states in part: The creativity, ideals and courage of the youth of the world should be mobilized to forge a global partnership in order to achieve sustainable development and ensure a better future for all.

Agenda 21...is a broad-ranging program of actions developed by nations attending the Earth Summit. Chapter 25 of Agenda 21 is devoted to 'Children and Youth in Sustainable Development.' Agenda 21:

• recognizes the important participatory role of youth in decision making and states, 'the specific interests of children need to be taken fully into account in the participatory process on environment and development in order to safeguard the future sustainability of any actions taken to improve the environment.'

• states that governments should ensure that education ... incorporates the concepts of environmental awareness and sustainable development throughout the curricula.'

• States that governments should 'establish procedures to incorporate children's concerns into all relevant policies and strategies for environment and development at the local, regional and national levels....'

The Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002 reaffirmed the importance of integrating sustainable development into education and strengthened the linkages between poverty, the environment, and the use of natural resources.

The EPA website also has links to website resources for k-12 students and teachers.  Students in 5th grade can learn "how many people it takes to ruin an ecosystem."  Or how pollution emissions and transportation are a major cause of global warming and how we choose to "move around" impacts our world tomorrow.  They can learn about solar energy in our homes or wetlands or evil oil spills. 


Strangely enough, what DIDN'T make the "sustainability" list is strapping trillions of dollars of debt onto future generations. 


In 1993, President Clinton through an Executive Order, created The President's Council on Sustainable Development (PCSD) to develop "bold, new approaches to achieve our economic, environmental, and equity goals."   These include some familiar goals:

Goal 1: Health And The Environment
Ensure that every person enjoys the benefits of clean air, clean water, and a healthy environment at home, at work, and at play. 

Goal 2: Economic Prosperity
Sustain a healthy U.S. economy that grows sufficiently to create meaningful jobs, reduce poverty, and provide the opportunity for a high quality of life for all in an increasingly competitive world.

Goal 3: Equity
Ensure that all Americans are afforded justice and have the opportunity to achieve economic, environmental, and social well-being.

Goal 4: Conservation Of Nature
Use, conserve, protect, and restore natural resources -- land, air, water, and biodiversity -- in ways that help ensure long-term social, economic, and environmental benefits for ourselves and future generations.

Goal 5: Stewardship
Create a widely held ethic of stewardship that strongly encourages individuals, institutions, and corporations to take full responsibility for the economic, environmental, and social consequences of their actions.

Goal 6: Sustainable Communities
Encourage people to work together to create healthy communities where natural and historic resources are preserved, jobs are available, sprawl is contained, neighborhoods are secure, education is lifelong, transportation and health care are accessible, and all citizens have opportunities to improve the quality of their lives.

Goal 7: Civic Engagement
Create full opportunity for citizens, businesses, and communities to participate in and influence the natural resource, environmental, and economic decisions that affect them.

Goal 8: Population
Move toward stabilization of U.S. population.

Goal 9: International Responsibility
Take a leadership role in the development and implementation of global sustainable development policies, standards of conduct, and trade and foreign policies that further the achievement of sustainability.

Goal 10: Education
Ensure that all Americans have equal access to education and lifelong learning opportunities that will prepare them for meaningful work, a high quality of life, and an understanding of the concepts involved in sustainable development.  


 We will delve deeper into each of these goals and how they have come to pass.

Agenda 21: Buzz Words.

We're going to put together a series on Agenda 21 issues and how they have slowly been allowed to creep into our cities and schools throughout the United States including here in Arizona.  For those who aren't familiar with Agenda 21, here's a quick summary:

Agenda 21 is a "non-binding," voluntarily implemented action plan of the United Nations with regards to sustainable development. It is a product of the UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, in 1992. It is an action agenda for the UN, other multilateral organizations, and individual governments around the world that can be executed at local, national, and global levels. The "21" in Agenda 21 refers to the 21st century. It has been affirmed and modified at subsequent UN conferences.

 

In the United States, over 528 cities are members of ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives), an international sustainability organization that helps to implement the Agenda 21 and Local Agenda 21 concepts across the world. The United States has nearly half of the ICLEI's global membership of 1,200 cities promoting sustainable development at a local level.

(Arizona cities who are a part of the ICLEI include Chandler, Flagstaff, Goodyear, Tempe and Tucson.  Mesa Mayor Scott Smith who is currently the Vice President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors (a partner of the ICLEI), signed off on a "climate change compact" in October 2009.

 

"...The mayor of Mesa, Arizona became the 1,000th leader to sign on to a climate change agreement under the United States Conference of Mayors."

 

  In signing the compact, local leaders commit to urging federal and state governments to enact policies and programs to "meet or beat the greenhouse gas target suggested for the United States in the Kyoto Protocol: a 7% reduction over 1990 emissions levels by 2012.

Here is a list of Agenda 21 buzz words so that when you see them, you will be able to easily recognize them as being part of the Agenda 21 "agenda."  When you see the words, keep these translations in mind:

Frequently, however, there is a lack of information about how to access such benefits. Benefit programs can be complicated and you may be given misleading information about how they operate.

The DHS has even put together a handy guidebook that outlines all of the FREEBIES that any new (unspecified) immigrant is eligible to receive.  Of course, the booklet also claims the United States is a "Representative Democracy."

The word “democracy” means “government by the people.” Democracy can have different forms in different countries. In the United States, we have what is called “representative democracy.”

This means that the people choose officials to represent their views and concerns in government.


According to the Census, 

• The number of immigrants (legal and illegal) in the country hit a new record of 40 million in 2010, a 28 percent increase over the total in 2000.
  
• Of top sending countries, the largest percentage increase in the last decade was for those from Honduras (85 percent), India (74 percent), Guatemala (73 percent), Peru (54 percent), El Salvador (49 percent), Ecuador (48 percent), and China (43 percent).

FLASHBACK:  Obama's $465 Workers Permit Amnesty And Jobs Plan

On May 17, 2007, the Cohen & Grisgsby Law Firm held their 7th Annual Immigration Law Update Conference.  The video essentially teaches employers how to steal jobs away from Americans.

The first step is to satisfy the Department of Labor's PERM (Permanent Labor Certification) process by advertising often fake ad postings in newspapers or online to "demonstrate that no qualified Americans are available" in order to help secure green cards for H-1b workers.

We are complying with the law fully.  But, our objective is to get this person a green card and to get through the labor certification process.  So, certainly we are not going to try to find a place where the applicants are going to be the most numerous.  We're going to try and find a place again, where we're complying with the law.  And hoping, and likely not to find qualified and interested worker applicants.

School "Design A Campaign Poster" Project

For a recent 7th Grade Social Studies project, students were required to design a campaign poster for one of four "candidates" running for Congress.  The students were required to include one reason why voters should elect their candidate such as the candidate's age, education, experience or their most important issue.

These were the options:

1.  Maria Hernandez
Age: 28
Education: B.A. Harrison College; LL.B. Johnson University
Profession: Attorney
Experience:  three years as assistant prosecuting attorney for Midland County
Most important issue:  in favor of tough laws on criminals and aid to crime victims
Campaign motto: Fight crime and help crime victims!


2.  Jim Silenski
Age: 33
Education: B.A. St. Ursula's College; M.A. Johnson University
Profession: social worker
Experience: 10 years as a social worker for United Charities
Most important issue: in favor of health insurance for every child
Campaign motto: No child should go without health care!


3.  Roberta Lozano
Age: 45
Education: B.A. Johnson University
Profession: homemaker
Experience: community leader for 20 years; most recently led campaign to provide computers for elementary schools
Most important issue: wants more money for schools
Campaign motto: Good schools produce educated workers and a strong economy!


4.  Brian Bedford
Age: 52
Education: two years at Erie Technical College
Profession: owner, heating and air conditioning business
Experience: 30 years as owner of a small business
Most important issue: wants to lower taxes
Campaign motto: Lower taxes means more money in your pocket!


Notice that three candidates are lawyers, teachers and socialist community organizers with carefully chosen last names?

Notice that the one obvious "Republican" is an old white guy who is "uneducated" and owns a small business?


Is it any wonder why the largest age group who voted for Obama were 18 - 25, if this is the kind of propaganda they are forced to swallow?

Eric Holder And The COPS Program

Eric Holder and the Department of INjustice recently published the 2012 recipients of the COPS grant. (Community Oriented Policing Services)

Obama used COPS grants as part of his "recovery package" to reward police unions  AFL-CIO $100M to thank them for their help during the 2008 election.  Of course, there are always strings attached.  For example, cities who accept the COPS grant money are not allowed to reduce their force for a period of three years.  Also, those officers hired using the grant money must be paid to remain on the force for another 12 months following the end of the grant term.  Considering the economic situation in the country over the last few years, some cash-strapped cities have found the financial obligations to be a bit of a challenge.

In September 2011, Holder announced $243M in funding for FY2012"aimed at creating and saving law enforcement jobs."  The grant money "provides 100 percent funding for 3 years for approved entry-level salaries and benefits for newly-hired, full-time sworn officer positions or for rehired officers who have been laid off, or are scheduled to be laid off."

In September 2012, Holder announced an additional $3.5M in funding.

Qualifications for the award must include at least one of the following prerequisites:
 

** Hire new officers, who are military veterans (including filling existing officer vacancies that are no longer funded in an agency’s budget.)

** Rehire officers laid off by any jurisdiction as a result of state, local, or Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) budget reductions unrelated to the receipt of grant funding.

** Rehire officers scheduled to be laid off (at the time of updated application) from the applicant’s department on a specific future date as a result of state, local, or BIA budget reductions unrelated to the receipt of grant funding.


We know Eric Holder's opinion of the military so the first suggested requirement on the list seems a bit, shall we say, specious?  It is important to note that the only veterans who qualify are those who served AFTER September 11, 2001.

Arizona "cashed in" on their share of the grant money. 

Apache County Sheriff's Office - $360,000 for 2 officers

City of Winslow - $125,000 for 1 officer

City of Yuma - $1,000,000 for 8 officers

Gila River Indian Community - $875,000 for 7 officers

Let's take a look at some other states and cities who received COPS grants.  Did the DOJ "pay to play" in the recent election?  You decide.


Illinois:
City of Chicago $3.1M for 25 officers
(Obama's private residence is in District 1 of the City of Chicago Police District)

Chicago Heights $500,000 for 4 officers


Michigan:
Dearborn Michigan - $1.1M for 9 officers

Dearborn is located in Wayne County which also received a last minute award on September 27th for an additional $250,000 to support 2 officers. 

They obviously weren't helping out at the polls.

(This is the same County where a poll worker was threatened with a gun by a voter in a Detroit precinct. 

The Congressional Representative for this district is John Conyers.  Conyers sparked controversy in 2009 when he was asked if he read the Obamacare bill.  His response? 

“I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill.  What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?”

Michigan polling locations were monitored by members of the leftist group "Common Cause"  which is funded by Moveon.org, SEIU, NEA and the Soros' Tides Foundation.  What could possibly have gone wrong?  After all, Common Cause spent money on "Republican" Jerry Lewis during the 2010 recall election of Russell Pearce.)


Nevada:
North Las Vegas Police Department - $1.7M for 14 officers
(North Las Vegas' Clark County was one of 2 counties in 2008 that heavily went to Obama.)


Ohio:
Cuyuhoga County - $1M for 8 officers
(The same county which saw over 100 precincts who voted 99% for Obama) 

City of Akron - $1.5M for 12 officers
City of Canton - $800,000 for 7 officers
Toledo Department of Police - $1.875 for 15 officers

Pennsylvania
City of Philadelphia - $3.1M for 25 officers
(Obama received 100% of the vote in 59 Philadelphia precincts.  In the 16th Ward alone, at least 6 precincts show that Romney received ZERO votes.  We know that Philadelphia has SOME Republicans as witnessed by photos found online.  In the 14th Ward where members of the New Black Panthers stood outside polling locations, Obama received 96.9% of the vote.  Read here to see a report of the 2012 Primary voting irregularities in Philadephia which include voting by unregistered voters, non citizens, voting in the wrong party, voting multiple times.)
