At the meeting, leaders of EVP will again introduce the Mesa Compact which consists of 5 basic principles to help facilitate a civil and productive dialogue on immigration. We need you there! The East Valley Patriots For American Values was another organization created by Randy Parraz along with Brian Barabe, Dan Martinez and Saul Solis after he lost in the Senate primaries in 2010. The purpose of the organization was to go after Russell Pearce.
"They plan to launch their first major effort in early 2011
by drafting their own version of the Utah Compact,
drafted as an alternative to Arizona's immigration law."
We already know that Jerry Lewis supported a Utah-style compact in Arizona. We also know that members of the Mesa City Council endorsed Jerry Lewis for Senate. Looks like it wouldn't take much to get a majority vote in Parraz's favor.
